MUSEUMS
First stop is the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, London. It is a home to around 80 million life and earth science specimens. There are 5 collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, palaeontology and zoology.
Some specimens are so historic that they were collected by Charles Darwin. This museum is well-known for its exhibition of dinosaur skeletons and ornate architecture. Currently a large skeleton of a blue whale is hanging from the ceiling in the main hall.
Natural History Museum does not charge an admission fee. Recommended visiting time to the museum is around 3 to 4 hours, but 2 hours was enough for me to see everything.
Now is the time to visit the Science Museum, which is located beside the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. There is also no admission fee to enter this museum.
It takes around 2 hours to tour the museum but I have completed it in an hour. Collections include science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.
There are over 15,000 objects on display, including world-famous spacecraft Soyuz TMA-19M which took Tim Peake back to Earth from the International Space Station. An exhibit of the real piece of the Moon is also located there.
FOOD
You can grab a tea or coffee with delicious variety of cakes at L’eto Caffe Knightsbridge, London. It is on the way from the museums to Mayfair, where you can head to for dinner.
I had a tasty vegan apple crumble, with a beautifully made cappuccino. This place has a very interesting decor, which looks like something from a period drama. There is also food on the menu if you are interested in having breakfast or lunch.
For dinner you can try Indian fine dining at restaurant Kanishka, located in Mayfair. I had a 6-platter sharing menu with a drink, which was very nice. It consisted of 3 starters, 2 mains with rice and desert.
There was also a complimentary starter from the Michelin starred chef, Atul Kochhar. This restaurant has a very nice decor inside and chilled jazz music playing in the background. Service on my visit was outstanding.

Can I just say what a comfort to find a person that actually knows what they’re talking about
on the internet. You definitely understand how to bring an issue to light
and make it important. More people have to check this out and understand this side
of the story. I was surprised you are not more popular given that you certainly have the gift.
Hello there! This post could not be written much better!
Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He always kept preaching about this. I am going to send this information to him.
Fairly certain he’ll have a great read. Thanks for sharing!
